President: Hazem Chrabakh
My name is Hazem Chrabakh and I am your President for AMSA SDSU this 2021-2022 academic year. I am a third year majoring in Psychology with an Honors Interdisciplinary Studies minor. I chose the premedical track based on my interest in human health and psychology as well as in order to help others in whatever specialty I ultimately decide on. I'm currently really interested in Psychiatry! Outside of AMSA, I am a Supplemental Instruction Mentor and I volunteer at different places in San Diego. Recently I've been getting more involved in helping various refugee communities in San Diego as well.
I look forward to meeting you all and working together to get closer to our goals while enjoying the process!

Vice President: Andie Tanguilig
Hi all! My name is Andie Tanguilig (she/her) and I am your Vice President for AMSA SDSU. I am a third year studying Cellular and Molecular Biology with an Honors and Public Health minor. I chose the premedical track so that I can create a positive social change in the healthcare system by addressing major health inequities in underserved communities. Outside of AMSA, I volunteer at the Kaiser SDMC hospital and do research in Dr. Yan’s organic chemistry lab.
With that being said, I can’t wait to tackle the premed journey with you all!

Treasurer: Kevin Paul
Hi, everyone! I’m Kevin Paul and I am your treasurer this year! I’m a Kinesiology Major emphasizing on pre-physical therapy with dreams of going to med school and specializing in Radiology! I chose the pre-med path as many of my relatives are health professionals both in the States and the Philippines! Besides continuing the tradition, I ultimately want to help others as I have been helped by my doctors before. Besides AMSA duties, I’m an avid guitar player and book connoisseur. From comics to hardcore gothic literature, I’ve read em all!
I’m excited for all of us to grow together on our pre-med journeys!

Community Service Coordinator: Gina Jerjees
Hi everyone! My name is Gina Jerjees, and I am your Community Service Coordinator for AMSA SDSU. I am a second year studying Biology. I chose the premedical path because I believe that it is my calling and it gives me a rush knowing that I have the ability to potentially change the lives of so many who are hurting both mentally and physically. It’s humbling watching someone who may came to you with very low hopes, exit with a whole beautiful life ahead of them. Outside of AMSA, I am currently working for Dr. Bernard Michlin at a dermatology clinic in La Mesa, California, as well as volunteering at local facilities around East County. When I have some free time on my hands, I love hitting the beach or having picnics with friends!
I am so excited to learn about what the medical field has to offer with all of you
